Upstream

Drink Upstream from the Herd
Translation: Think before you act
Excellent cowboy wisdom. This original assemblage is made using a cowboy figurine made in Japan, a horse cookie cutter and a plastic fence from a cowboys and Indians set. I have signed and dated it on the back.Overall dimensions are approximately 6.5 inches wide by 7.25 inches high by 3.25 inches deep.

Drumroll, please!

I received so many entries from all of you sweeties in blogland

I enlisted some help from my adorable nightstand bear. . .
See how many! They just kept coming and coming - even up to the last minute!
Well, I waited and waited, but apparently, since nightstand bear does not have opposable thumbs, she just sat there looking adorable, so . . .
I enlisted the help of my husband, and look who they drew! Congratulations, Laurie of Charming Designs. Her blog is a real treat, so be sure to stop by! I would like to thank each and every one of you for stopping by. Please come back soon. I love it when you visit! - Teresa

Funny, my arm stinks

I had a little trouble lighting the grill today. Ever since my husband cleaned it, the electric starter hasn't worked. We bought a new lighter (my son used up our other one while lighting fireworks) and it took longer than expected to figure it out. Meanwhile, the gas is building up. I finally got the lighter started and POOF! a big ball of fire burned all the hair off of my arm. I scrubbed the burnt hair off, but I still get a slight whiff of singed hair. At least the chicken came out great . . .

Goodbye, 2008!

Goodbye, 2008! We are saying hello to the new, fresh 2009. I don't know about you, but 2008 was a bit rocky in places for us. At some points, I felt like the rug had been ripped from under my feet. Some aspects were nice. Our boys are now young men. They have both moved out (kinda nice, actually). It hasn't been difficult since they still live so close. It would have ripped my heart out if they were far away and I didn't get to see them! I am hoping that the new, 2009 has wonderful things in store for all of us.
