The first one is my Nevermore framed portrait of EAP. Thank you, Poison Garden for selecting it to go in your treasury list entitled The Raven. It's one of those items that you place with all of your family portraits around Halloween just to get people talking.

The second EAP item was in a Etsy treasury curated by CslayerD that she entitled Inspired by Poe. It is my art bottle that I fondly call "Poe dirt". It is an antique bottle filled with dirt. (ant dirt from my backyard to be specific) The label says Edgar Allan Poe cemetery dirt Old Westminster Burying Ground Baltimore, Maryland.

Of course, no cemetery was actually visited in making this art bottle. Last year, I was contacted by the director of the Old Westminster Burying Ground because they wanted to be sure that no one was stealing their dirt. I promise; I am no grave robber! LOL

From sad to glad

I was feeling really bummed because I had to turn a job down. I had promised to go to Round Top with a friend of mine thinking that I could get a few days off. NOPE! It was impossible. I basically had to promise that I would have no other life for a little while. I was really stuck. I couldn't back out on my friend. That just wouldn't be right. Besides, who would want to miss Round Top? Not me!
Anyway, I was feeling rather bummed and decided to check my email. I received one from Etsy called Etsy finds. They were doing a feature on Halloween items. Emily called it Something Wicked This way Comes.

I started checking out all the cool Halloween things and then I heard a squeal. It came from me. I spotted my Edgar Allen Poe cemetery dirt bottle.I am no longer bummed.

A rose by any other name

. . . would be MiaRosina!

It was such a pleasant surprise to see that Rosina had included one of my Edgar Allen Poe cemetery dirt bottles (Poe dirt) in her latest Treasury List. One of her lists has even made the front page of Etsy. How cool is that? You can read about the inspiration for her Treasury List here on her blog.

Rosina makes beautiful handsculted rose rings that she features in her Etsy shop. Be sure to check them out.

Thanks, Rosina!!

Grave robbing

Well, not really. I made up some art bottles last night. They were so fun to create! Creating things for Halloween is my favorite. Get to explore that dark side LOL!
