The Black Hat Society

Long before there was ever a Red Hat Society, the BLACK hat society witches ladies were getting together to have their "girl" time.

I created this assemblage in a big clock that I picked up while shopping at Warrenton last weekend. It is complete with spider webs, a clock, an icky spider, and even a little mouse if you look real close. I took it to my booth at Third Coast where I have lots of cool Halloween items.

Rustic Halloween

I have so much fun for Halloween. I guess it's the crisp, exciting air. When you live on the coast, you really notice when the humidity goes down. I mean, really.

. . . or it could also be all the fun things that I get to create . . .

Blushie featured my art bottle in her ArtFire collection of Halloween items. She makes beautiful soaps and "smell goods". Be sure to check out her lovely shop.

Witching hour

A while back, Anne offered the image of this woman on her blog. I have looked, but can't seem to find the post. Anywho, I decided that she would make the perfect witch with her black dress and long, slender fingers. I photo-shopped a witch's hat on her and repaired the image just a bit.

For this piece, I took an old clock and turned it upside-down. It makes such a wonderful shadowbox. Too bad the mice are running amuck. LOL :D

Artfire's BIG deal

ArtFire - Buy Handmade - Sell Handmade

ArtFire has been in the beta stage, but is about to launch its regular version. To celebrate ArtFire's beta exit, they are offering their Pro accounts at $5.95 if 20,000 sign up. Once they hit 20,000 new Pro account sign ups, everyone will get this rate for LIFE. It was announced yesterday and already over 1,500 have already opted-in. There is a 50,000 new member max, so if you are interested, you best not delay. I love my ArtFire account. It's really great when I sell my more-expensive items because there are NO FEES for listing or selling!! It makes it better than having your own website because you get the advantage of all of the ArtFire traffic, too.
